In Mark Joyner's Internet Intelligence Manuscript (Volume II) he clearly explains how any web traffic (not just "targeted traffic") can be made profitable, by mentally framing, or conditioning your visitors to become receptible to your offer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the easiest ways to mentally re-frame your visitors upon entry to your site, is to walk them through a three-step process that:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A) Grabs their immediate attention with a promise of benefit&lt;br /&gt;B) Pre-Qualifies them before they get to your sales letter&lt;br /&gt;C) Follows up with them over time with new content and reminders of your offer&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keep in mind, web traffic is just one component of the three required to sustain sales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The other two are:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Testing new advertising campaigns and ad copy&lt;br /&gt;2. Tracking and keeping records of your results from each campaign&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's an example case study of the three-step process...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On December 16th 2005, my book "The Instant Traffic Formula 2006" was released to teach internet entreprenuers how to create, attract and monetize responsive web traffic to any web site or affiliate program. As of today, my web site at &lt;a href="http://www.InstantTrafficFormula.com"&gt;www.InstantTrafficFormula.com&lt;/a&gt; (which uses the exact techniques taught in the book) is averaging a 64.86% visitor-to-lead conversion, and an average sales conversion ranging from 4.69% up to 11.36% all-around (from the redirect = no followups), which is currently netting me just over $1.48 per unique visitor to my site.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Again, these statistics do not take follow-ups into account. These are "straight-out-of-the-gate" type sales that occur within minutes of my visitors signing up to read my sales letter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And you can do this too.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I follow a simple formula to create web traffic, qualified leads, responsive subscribers, loyal customers and even active affiliates who promote anything and everything I sell online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can sum up the entire formula into the three major components I mentioned above, and create a fail-proof success system for your products, services and affiliate programs. After you've activated the formula, the best way to keep the momentum of traffic, leads and sales coming in on a consistent and even predictable basis, is in three words...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What those three words are, and how to use them by combining eight other powerful elements is carefully documented inside my book. But here's the process I used personally on my site:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. My visitor is directed through a tracking link (or affiliate link) to a lead capture page called a "Name Squeeze" where prospects give their contact information in order to get details of my report.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Upon submitting their contact information, they are immediately directed to my sales page for the details, and offer for the Instant Traffic Formula Scientific Marketing Report.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. My follow-up autoresponder system immediately sends them an email reminding them of my offer, giving a few testimonials of the report and sends them a link to check it out at another time. A few days later, they receive reminders of my offer, more quality feedback of my report, new articles and content about getting web traffic, and again - links back to my sales letter.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The lead capture page serves to "pre-qualify" visitors who actually want to read my sales letter to find out more about my offer. I've heard a lot of people claim many visitors (and sales) can be lost by forcing your prospects to "do something" before they get to your offer -- but my direct experimentation and results show the majority (64.86%) of visitors who hit my site, sign up.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once my visitors sign up, they become leads and are set into my autoresponder system to receive consistent follow-ups until they buy, or unsubscribe. Thankfully, the autoresponder service I use (Aweber) allows me to easily direct my new subscribers to a custom "Thank You" page. Most web marketers still use the "default" thank you page and their subscribers are returned to a "thanks for subscribing - now close the window" type message. Useless.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My thank you page re-directs to a tested sales letter that continues the mental conditioning process by giving in-direct answers to questions that were created in the mind of my prospects upon reading, and signing up from my Name Squeeze.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that my three elements are together, I combine them with "CII" or the three most powerful words in all of marketing, and achieve phenomenal and consistent results over time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Using just this part of the formula alone, can cause a massive shift in your bottom line. However, when the complete formula is both discovered and activated, you'll have a direct funnel to bring money "out of thin air" to you whenever you like, and for whatever you want.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do this. Think of something you'd like to have.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anything. It can be anything. Don't limit yourself.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A new car, a new house, a nice expensive necklace for a loved one -- anything.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now put a price on it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's your goal. Your intention.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Write it down.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next, get out a calculator and punch in the price of what you want.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Divide that number by the price for whatever item you want to sell.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Round up to the nearest whole number, and you've got a definite number.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This number equals the amount of sales you'll need to get your wish.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now use the formula described in this article, and funnel the correct amount of sales into your business, by getting the traffic, pre-qualifying them, and going for the sale using CII to guide you along every step of the way -- until you reach your desired number of sales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once the sales you've accumulated equal your desired amount, you get your wish.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Try it for yourself and see the power in this technique to create anything you want.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Above all, stay focused... keep the momentum... and &lt;em&gt;enjoy&lt;/em&gt; your prosperity in the new year!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Jason Mangrum&lt;/strong&gt; is known to internet entreprenuers as both "The Marketing Machine" and "The Marketing Mad Scientist." At the first break a young man stops me, saying he is one of my subscribers and a big fan. I'm flattered. We talk. During the brief conversation, he confesses that fear is what stops him from achieving anything. Interesting. Just that very morning I had breakfast with Paul Hartunian, famous publicity expert, when he told me, "There is no such thing as fear."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"There isn't?" I asked Paul.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"No. You are born with only two fears," Paul explained. "The fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. You lose those early on. Any other fears are created by you. They aren't real."  "How do you get rid of fear?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Stop it."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Stop it?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Just stop it," Paul said. "Say you have a fear of bridges. If I put one million dollars in cash on the other side and said you could have it if you walked across the bridge, nude, in front of a crowd of people, you'd do it. Why? Because the reward is greater than the pain. Make the rewards greater and the fears will vanish."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I told the young man before me the same thing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I then went on to add that most people in business have a fear of success, or a fear of failure. "I was just in a seminar with Ted Nicholas," I went on. "Ted said he had failed many times, and what he learned is that nothing bad ever happens to you when you fail. Instead, you get life's greatest lessons."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, Ted is known as the four billion dollar man because he is now a legend in direct marketing.    "As for the fear of success," I told my new friend in Chicago, "what I've learned is that the more successful I am, the more I can help myself, my family, and the world." In the last week alone I had made contributions to a new children's foundation dedicated to helping babies suffering from a stroke at birth, and I made donations to Paul Hartunian's dog rescue work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;"Success enables me to help myself as well as everyone else," I said. "When you realize the good you can do as a success, the fear evaporates."    I saw a light come on in the eyes of the fellow before me. He seemed to get it. He seemed to realize that fear was stopping him, but that he was the one creating it, so he could be the one to let it go. I had the idea for an interactive multimedia product that would enable anyone, regardless of age or experience to learn exactly how to build their own website from scratch.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, the excuses came. There were a million-and-one reasons why I should NOT create this product. For instance, I own a web design business and if I were to release a product like this, it could put my "high-ticket" web design service out of business! Plus, tons of other web design businesses might hate me. What if my product wasn't good enough? What if I took the time to create the product, only to have no one buy it? (etc, etc, etc.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guess what? This time I was &lt;strong&gt;inspired&lt;/strong&gt;. See, I've had this technique I'm about to show you for quite some time. I've told many friends and relatives about it and they fell in love with it...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to tell it to you, but only under the condition that you TRY it. It can't hurt. In fact, most find it an enjoyable experience. The fact is, it works for everyone who tries it. There's actually a scientific reason behind it, and I'll explain that as well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'll bet you're curious by now so here it is...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;See yourself, peacefully watching clouds in the sky, as they pass by you. The sky is blue and the clouds are just passing by. Realize the clouds are are merely an endless stream of thoughts, trying to forever penetrate your mind and control the way you think, thereby controlling every aspect of your &lt;em&gt;entire life!&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Imagine every cloud has it's own unique attribute, shape, size, shade of color -- if you focus on one particular cloud, you'll begin to notice a visual scene playing out whatever that particular invading thought has to show you. Next comes the feeling. The emotion &lt;em&gt;attached&lt;/em&gt; to the thought. Emotion triggers a response, and you begin to REACT to the thought (aka. "the invader") which causes you to lose control and become a prisoner of your own mind.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It takes about a week (just 7 days) to Master the technique. It's not just the technique, either.&lt;br /&gt;Once you try this a few times, you'll be able to keep it in the back of your mind. It's so simple, but it holds a key to a wonderful gift. Freedom of outside, intruding thought. Just watch the clouds go by peacefully, with the &lt;em&gt;full knowledge&lt;/em&gt; of the clouds passing by are thought, thought forms, emotions, --- these are not a part of you and you can control the very process of "thought" itself entering your mind.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Think about this. How does your mind visualize "thought?"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I've asked many people this question, and they almost always respond with, "clouds."&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now I'm not telling you to sit in a dark corner and practice 3 times a day. The cool thing about this visual excersize is that you can make it an &lt;strong&gt;active &lt;/strong&gt;meditation. This means you can do it at anytime, with your eyes fully open, fully aware and doing other things. It's a powerful way to quiet the mind and calm the soul when you're stressed out, feel anger, depression or any other negative reaction to a THOUGHT.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may not realize it, but thought controls your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Every second of every minute of your life, thoughts of all shapes and sizes have bombarded your mind with every different type of thought you can imagine. It's the little "voice" inside your head catching these thoughts with a myraid of emotions attached to them and pierces your inner being to the core.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The little "voice" is called &lt;em&gt;ego, &lt;/em&gt;and he's controlling your life with these thoughts. &lt;em&gt;The Clouds.&lt;/em&gt; Remember the thoughts are just clouds and they're passing by. Realize you can do this with your eyes open. You'll see it in your mind's eye. No one will ever know you're doing it. But what you're really doing is something so powerful, you can't imagine it without experiencing it yourself. You can use this mental, visual technique to rid yourself of ANY thought that would normally cause you to re-act and make bad decisions, think you're having "bad luck", or any other intruding thought in your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now imagine yourself, finally in &lt;em&gt;full&lt;/em&gt; control of your life. You ARE, because you no longer have those intruding thoughts telling you what to do! I'm serious. If you try it, really give it your best shot, you will absolutely see results in a week. Just whenever you have a thought you "don't like" or don't want to have, remind yourself the thought (NO MATTER WHAT IT CONTAINS!) is just another one of those in the endless stream of passing clouds, and watch it go by, until it dissapears from your view.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course you might be skeptical, but I'll bet it's because you haven't tried it yet. If you have, then you're more than likely reading this with a warm feeling in your heart. You can &lt;em&gt;feel &lt;/em&gt;the connection between clouds and thoughts. It's so easy, and yet so immediately powerful.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now, attempt to focus on something. Anything. Those pesky thoughts may keep coming at first, but if you really give this a shot (several times a day for 7 days in a row - mark your calendar) - you'll be able to acheive razor-sharp focus in &lt;em&gt;seconds&lt;/em&gt;, live in the present moment (i.e. be fully aware) and give your concentration level a gigantic boost!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The imagery is merely a simple way to give your subconscious a direct "command" to alter your perception of the way you see, and react to thoughts. The scene of peacfully watching a myraid of clouds go by, combined with the internal command to &lt;em&gt;realize&lt;/em&gt; the clouds are outside, intruding thoughts trying to control you, creates a force of energy powered with the emotion of PEACE that's strong enough to overpower &lt;em&gt;any&lt;/em&gt; thought, negative memory, feeling or experience. You can finally control your own life! Make your own desicions without worry. Enjoy the present moment and feel the energy of love, emanating from creation itself!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This inspires emotion, which fuels the technique and powers the vision. This creates the feeling of happiness, since happiness is the reflection of love. Think about it. ;-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Try it and you'll see. Steady yourself for a minute and just chill out. Hear the traffic of your mind quiet down...&lt;br /&gt;Imagine this: Each person in this world, when they wake up in the morning is given a portion of light. The light is held in a cup made of a positive image that surrounds you. This "shell" surrounds you day after day and is repaired on a nightly basis, or whenever you find time these days for sleep or meditation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Every little thing you do in your daily life - every action, every remark, every smile, nod or flash of a thought - IF it is helpful and constructive - makes the shell stronger, and reinforced. Every destructive or harmful thought punches holes in this shell, allowing this precious light you are filled with to spill out, leaving you feeling empty and unfulfilled, unsatisfied and unloved. These things are returned to us, and caused by us. You are the creator of everything in your life, through your own daily habits and behaviors.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The body, like the world is made of, motivated by, and directed with energy. Balance is a natural way to keep order in the universe. Situations are created out of what the universe takes as our desires. Keep in mind the universe does not think in positive or negative, it just hears those thoughts you have everyday and considers them to be what you want manifested in your life. It can’t tell the difference between a want or a worry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just breathe. Step back and realize that you are already spiritually perfect. You were created that way. If bad things do happen, all the worrying in the world isn't going to help. It doesn't improve any situation. All you do is cause yourself mental stress that -in turn- gives you more bad thoughts, which lessens your light, which shortens your life by taking your energy.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;STOP IT. Stop destructive and distractive habits, and see how your life and those in it instantly becomes brighter. If you were unable to eliminate those things inside or around you then now is the time to break free. Refuse to live in unproductive, uncreative life cycles. Forgive yourself. Know that YOU have control and are given the means to change. Then do it. Act, don’t re-act to your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know that worries come sometimes, but next time try this. Fight back. If you have a bad feeling about an event or situation VISUALIZE a positive outcome of that situation. Do it a couple times, at least as many times as this worry pops in your head. Now when this worry happens, "create your alternative." Allow yourself to know this positive outcome is much closer to reality than some random chaotic worry. In a previous lesson, I introduced you to the concept of outsourcing the creation of your product so you can HAVE a product without writing a word. Today, we're going to continue this lesson by focusing on *other* methods you can employ to get your product created without writing it yourself. But here's an interesting twist...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to show you how to create a product - without writing - and without PAYING for it!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yep. Free, powerful, &lt;em&gt;extremely&lt;/em&gt; effective product creation tactics - EXPOSED!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's begin.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As there are many ways to "skin a dog" (I like cats) -- there are just as many ways to create a solid information product that SELLS. Here's a quick overview of the methods we'll cover:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Product Creation with a Partner&lt;br /&gt;2. Product Creation with Contributors&lt;br /&gt;3. Product Creation with Audio&lt;br /&gt;4. Product Creation with Video&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Okay, so you know absolutely nothing about the information you want to provide to your target market. You could:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;a) research and study the information&lt;br /&gt;b) find someone who already HAS the information!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's a relatively simple process, and makes so much sense.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's say there's already an "expert" out there who knows just about everything there is to know about your chosen topic of interest...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;All you have to do is approach the "expert" and tell them you're creating a product that relates directly to their area of expertise. You could either offer to have them answer the problems and questions you found the market wanted in exchange for 50% of product sales, OR you may even be able to get away with offering to interview them in exchange for extra credibility and exposure! Believe it or not, money is NOT the only motivating factor that will cause experts to write your information product.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Unless you're in the "how to make money" market -- (NOT recommended) you may find the experts you approach for an interview will accept just because it puts their name out there even further, gives them extra credibility and provides extra exposure for their name and expertise. You could simply interview them over the phone with questions that directly relate to the research data you collected, and then have that interview transcribed into a written document. And there's your product!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But what if you don't &lt;em&gt;have&lt;/em&gt; a decent amount of questions to answer? -- Again, there is a relatively simple solution.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Head over to &lt;a href="http://groups.google.com/" target="_blank"&gt;http://groups.google.com/&lt;/a&gt; and do the following...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In the search bar, try these variations:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. keyword +"how do i"&lt;br /&gt;2. keyword +"how do you"&lt;br /&gt;3. keyword +"how can i"&lt;br /&gt;4. keyword +"how can you"&lt;br /&gt;5. keyword +"how could i"&lt;br /&gt;6. keyword +"how could you"&lt;br /&gt;7. keyword +"question"&lt;br /&gt;8. keyword +"problem"&lt;br /&gt;9. keyword +"i wish"&lt;br /&gt;10. keyword +"is there"&lt;br /&gt;11. keyword +"do i"&lt;br /&gt;12. keyword +"do you"&lt;br /&gt;13. keyword +"can i"&lt;br /&gt;14. keyword +"can you"&lt;br /&gt;15. keyword +"could i"&lt;br /&gt;16. keyword +"could you"&lt;br /&gt;17. keyword +"how to" -- (keyword = YOUR keyword relating to your market)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Doing this will reveal the exact questions, problems and even desires of your target market!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And if you're lucky, you may even find that some of the questions have already been answered for you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You COULD simply take these questions and answers, and create a solid information product all on your own. BUT -- here's the advantage of getting an interview with an expert...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Chances are that the expert you interview will actually market the product FOR YOU. Why wouldn't they? It's all about THEM. In their mind, they've basically just received a brand new "tool" to give them extra credibility, exposure, and (if you're splitting the profits) extra money!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;But what if there are SEVERAL "experts" within your target market? -- Why not multiply your exposure, credibility and SALES by having each of them contribute to your product?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is MUCH easier than you may think.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do a search in google.com for your target market, but also add the following terms to the search...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. keyword +"professional"&lt;br /&gt;2. keyword +"expert"&lt;br /&gt;3. keyword +"specialist&lt;br /&gt;"4. keyword +"author"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You can also search in groups.google.com for the same terms, but doing all this will expose the perceived experts within your target market!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Make a list of each expert you discover, and type their name into &lt;a href="http://www.google.com/" target="_blank"&gt;google.com&lt;/a&gt; (in quotes) to most likely reveal more about them, and possibly even their website and contact information. If you find their website but no contact information, head over to &lt;a href="http://www.betterwhois.com/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.betterwhois.com/&lt;/a&gt; and type in the domain name of the expert's website...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You'll have to enter a security code, but once you're in, you'll have the direct contact information (sometimes including the full name, mailing address, email address and even phone number) of the expert whom you wish to make contact.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Contact them via email or phone (recommended) and tell them you'd like to interview them to be included in your upcoming product. In return, they can mention their website to give them extra traffic and exposure. Multiply your results by contacting several experts in the exact same way, and offer the same benefits.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some may refuse, but others will most likely &lt;em&gt;jump&lt;/em&gt; at the chance to have their website placed inside a product directed toward their target market! And you could take it even further by allowing each contributor to place a recommendation or endorsement for the product on their website, in exchange for a percentage of sales that come from their affiliate link... INSTANT SALES.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is called "Joint Venture marketing" and is one of the most powerful, easiest and FASTEST ways to make it BIG on the internet. We'll talk more about Joint Ventures and Affiliates in another lesson, but for now -- let's talk about two other methods of super-quick product creation...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Audio&lt;br /&gt;2. Video&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some of us learn better by reading, others learn visually and yet others learn by hearing. So it's safe to say that you can appeal to your market simply by creating an information product based on reading, audio, video -- or all three!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course the sky's the limit on this one, but let's get into a little about how to create a product with audio and video...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is a *very* simple, yet powerful technique of product creation. Do an interview with an expert (as before) except instead of hiring a transcriptionist to create a written document, put up the recorded audio itself!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You could also do live or recorded teleseminars where you basically interview a different expert every week and create a monthly membership site where people pay YOU each month to hear the next interview!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Getting your audio from phone-to-PC-to-Internet may seem like a daunting task. It used to be a pain in the neck to record your phone conversation, transfer it to your PC and have it encoded and uploaded to the internet. However, my good friend and marketing genius, Rick Raddatz has created a solution for ANYONE wanting to take advantage of the power of audio. You could simply record a "Camtasia Video" of yourself creating various illustrations, drawings, etc. and offer your recording AS your information product...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may be wondering what the heck a "Camtasia Video" is, well -- Camtasia is a very popular software program that allows you to literally record anything you want right on your desktop! There's even a free version that'll do everything you want it to, and then some. It's pretty amazing software. Today, we're going to talk about how to actually take the information and market research data you've recorded so far, and create the *perfect* information-based product according to exactly what your market wants....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So far you should have:&lt;br /&gt;a) Your Average market Circulation&lt;br /&gt;b) The Average Price Point for Your Product&lt;br /&gt;c) A Solid, Proven Product Idea or Concept&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now before you go out and create your product, you want to run it through another test to absolutely, positively ENSURE it's profitability...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, make a list of every possible word or phrase that DIRECTLY relates to your unique product idea. Now, I know that it may seem like you've done this before, but this time what you want to do is to find out how many people are searching right now for the *specific* type of information that you're going to create.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For example, if you were targeting football fanatics, but through your research you found that your market wanted more information on how to score the perfect touchdown, you would be in directly targeting your market! This isn't as good as it sounds. While (in this example) the "football" niche is who you're targeting, for your unique product idea you'd want to ALSO find out how many people are actually SEARCHING for information on how to score the perfect touchdown, or improve their game. Make sense?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There's a fantastic little tool that'll help you do just that, and best of all -- it won't cost you a dime. It's a new type of "search engine" called Niche-Bot, and it'll tell you exactly how popular a SPECIFIC search term is on google and WordTracker...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just head over to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://nichebot.howtoinformationonline.com" target="_blank"&gt;http://nichebot.howtoinformationonline.com&lt;/a&gt; and type in a word or phrase that most closely describes or relates to your newfound product idea. You'll almost immediately get back some amazing data containing the number of people who searched on that specific term AND terms that are a very close match to the one you typed in. Let's continue...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By now you should have a pretty good idea of the potential profitability of your unique product idea within your market. If your product idea fails any of these tests, it is highly advised that you simply drop the idea and move onto another one. Think of it this way -- would you rather do a little "work" upfront to find a proven, profitable and successful product that SELLS, or would you rather spend time, effort and money on creating a product that just won't sell no matter how much targeted traffic you throw at it? You be the judge. But I'll take the first option any day of the week. ;-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Anyway, moving on...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Once you HAVE found a proven successful product idea that will SELL, the very next step is...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...to create the product!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course, (once again) there are MANY ways to do this, and it all really depends on the amount of effort and time you want to put into it, versus the amount of money you're willing to spend...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're very interested in your market and already know a great deal about your topic OR are at least willing to research and study your chosen topic, then you may want to simply create the information product yourself. However -- there ARE other ways!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What if you just found a highly profitable market that you knew nothing about, and didn't even CARE to learn about? ...You have someone ELSE create the product for you!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's right. It's called "ghostwriting" and it happens ALL the time. In fact, some of the most successful information products of all time weren't even written by their supposed author!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Incredible, but very true.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Famous "Authors" hire ghostwriters to create their products so they don't have to. We can read about their problems, their frustrations, what they LIKED about the product, and even what they DIDN'T like.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It doesn't matter whether it's a good OR bad review. Just by reading these reviews, we come to understand the "dialect" the market uses, what they consider to be great information, what they consider to be bad information, and... (If you're new, just read the previous post to see what I'm talking about) :-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you did, then you've most likely found at LEAST one profitable market via - Amazon's Magazine listings... From here, there are two roads you can take. Your overall objective for this step is to find out the approximate size of your chosen market. So, you can do one of two things:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Buy a single subscription to that publication related to your interest, idea or product. (recommended)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Go over to google.com and type in the name of your chosen publication in quotes (i.e. "Reader's Digest") and see if you can find either a website for that publication, or a phone number to contact them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you buy a subscription, when it arrives you'll have several advantages, including being able to find out the total circulation of that publication! If you choose not to buy a subscription at the moment, just try to locate the contact information of the magazine so you can give them a call and ask about their current circulation of the magazine. If you found more than one publication related to your interest, product or idea - then it is highly advised to contact all of them, asking the exact same question.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Some magazines may be more popular than others. You're looking for a total AVERAGE of the population of your market.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sidenote: If you choose to buy subscriptions to all of the publications related to your interest, product or idea, then you'll immediately get extra benefits such as being able to see what type of products related to that market are selling right now in those magazines! (You can get an even further assessment by contacting the publishers and requesting a few back-issues. Look for the ads that keep appearing in the same magazine. Then you'll definitely know what type of product is selling inside that market!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And you can do even more market research, online.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Go over to &lt;a href="http://inventory.overture.com" target="_blank"&gt;http://inventory.overture.com&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Type in a word or phrase that directly describes the type of people related to your market. For example, if I found a magazine tailored to football fanatics and I wanted to enter that market, I'd go to the link above and type in "football")&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Click the button, and you'll then see your keyword, and related keywords to what you typed in. Now, look at those numbers to the left of each keyword. These numbers represent how many times that particular word or phrase was searched on last month in Overture.com&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Add up the numbers on the left for every keyword (including your original word or phrase that best describes or relates to your chosen market, product or idea.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5. Finally, since there are four major search engines that in total receive over 95% of ALL internet traffic, take the total number of searches you found on Overture and multiply by four.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;These include:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Yahoo&lt;br /&gt;2. Google&lt;br /&gt;3. AOL Search&lt;br /&gt;4. MSN&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The reason we multiply by four is because it has been proven that approximately the same number of searches found on Overture can be found on the other main search engines as well -- and sometimes, the number is much greater!)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;By now you should have:&lt;br /&gt;a) Numbers according to your publications chosen (circulation)&lt;br /&gt;b) Numbers according to your search on Overture (searches)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Since there's no absolute way to know how many individual people are within a specific target market, the most scientific way is to create an AVERAGE and use that total number as the basis for our market assessment...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ok, here's the formula in a nutshell:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. Add up the total amount of circulation coming from the publications in your target market&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Divide by the NUMBER of publications&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Add the total number of Overture searches, multiplied by four to get the total market average&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's an example...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's say I found 3 magazines related to my target market. Magazine #1 had a circulation of 12,000. Magazine #2 had a circulation of 18,000. And Magazine #3 had a circulation of 9,000.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Then, I went over to inventory.overture.com and found a total number of 15,000 people had searched on my term and various related terms (in total). So to find the average total of my market, I would do this:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;12,000 + 18,000 + 9,000 = 39,000&lt;br /&gt;39,000 / 3 = 13,000&lt;br /&gt;13,000 + (15,000 x 4) = 73,000&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This gives me a calculated estimate that there are an AVERAGE of 73,000 individual people within my target market. The scientific reasoning behind this number is due to the fact that people highly interested in a particular area or topic are most likely going to be subscribed to multiple magazines, and are possibly even searching for more information online about their related interest. However, the majority of those searching online about their topic will most likely use ONE major search engine, according to their individual preference!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Basically, about the same amount of individuals will use a different major search engine to look for the same information. So at least now we have a number to work with. :-)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Next, we want to find out how much the market is willing to pay for information about their related interest...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We do this by simply going over to &lt;a href="http://www.overture.com/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.overture.com/&lt;/a&gt; and typing in a general word or phrase that relates to our product, interest or idea. Overture.com is what is called a PPC or "Pay per Click" search engine. Advertisers pay for each visitor that Overture brings to their website.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So we can quickly get a good idea of the market's price range by doing the following at Overture...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;1. On Overture, click the link labled "View advertisers'Max Bids" (near the top-right corner of the page)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Enter the security code and click "Search"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. Look at the 1st listing from the top, and see how much that advertiser is paying-per-click to get visitors to their website&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Take that amount and multiply by 100 to get the minimum price-point for that website to break-even&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now that you have the "break-even" formula, here's an example...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let's say the top position listing cost-per-click on Overture is $0.65 cents. This website is paying .65 cents for every single visitor to their website... This means that for every 100 visitors, this particular website is going to pay $65. So AT MINIMUM, the website is going to HAVE to generate at least $65 from those 100 visitors to make the campaign break even.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This is called website conversion. (The average website should STRIVE to at least get one sale out of 100 visitors to remain a profitable website.) We'll get more into that another time, but for clarity's sake, we'll say the market will bare an information product with the price-point of $65.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;We say this because we're looking at the #1 highest paying website on Overture relating to our target market. And if the highest bidder's break-even is $65, then we know for certain that our market is willing to pay around $65 for information related to their interest!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So far, (in this example) we have an average market circulation of 73,000 people who are potentially willing to spend around $65.00 each...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;...And that's before we've even developed the product!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And it only gets better from here.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As you are no-doubt beginning to realize, basic math plays an incredibly important role in successful marketing on the internet. Amazon has integrated a special system into their website that lists over 80,000 magazine and newspaper subscriptions....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What does this have to do with finding YOUR market?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;EVERYTHING. Let me explain...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, on Amazon, look over to the left-column where it says,"Books, Music, DVD" -- Click on the link labled "Magazine subscriptions" -- Now, scroll down a little and look at the left-column. You'll see several listings of different categories, all containing various magazines and newspapers for different markets. Just glancing through these listings (in ANY category) will instantly tell you that these markets have money to spend -- and here's why...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It costs A LOT of money to run a professional offline magazine. The magazine companies recoup their production and distribution costs by allowing advertisers to run ads inside their publications. The advertisers must continually run SUCCESSFUL ads inside those publications to cover THEIR costs and make their campaigns profitable.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;That's why you'll see many of the exact same ads running inside a particular publication. This will tell you that particular ad is obviously making a profit. So it's fair to say that ANY professional offline magazine tailored to any kind of special interest contains a hungry market full of people who are not only highly interested in that particular category or "niche" - but they're spending money in that market as well!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now you've just been given over 80,000 successful markets to choose from. If you already have an idea or concept for a product or service, see if you can locate a publication that directly relates to that idea. If you've found one (or more) then your idea has already passed the first test of finding a profitable market! Here's some "homework:"&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Go through Amazon's Magazine listings in various categories and see if you can find a publication that suits your interest. If you already have an idea for a product (or an already-made product) see if you can find a publication related to it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The next step is called "Market Assessment" and is all about finding the size of your total market, and running some numbers to find out HOW profitable that market will be, at what price you should charge for your product, and what type of information your market wants - right now! By targeting my market! (Now, I realize that you may not be interested in getting into the market of "weight-loss" but what you're about to learn here, can be applied to ANY market, concept or idea)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;If I went after people simply looking for "weight loss", I would be directly competing for attention with over 14 million websites. However -- what if I were to try different variations of my idea? What about things like:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;-Weight loss for women&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;-Weight loss for men&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;-Weight loss for teenagers&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;-Weight loss for TV stars, etc...&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;Just by applying different variations to the exact same idea, I immediately get a much better chance of success with my product! Check it out for yourself. Take your basic idea or concept, and think of who would most likely WANT your product or service. Type it into &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.google.com/"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;font-size:100%;"&gt;www.google.com&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:100%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt; and see how many results come up. Then, try applying different variations (as I have done) to your idea, type those into google, and watch the results go DOWN...I'll give you a hint: The less results you get, the better your chance is of becoming successful with your product! Please keep in mind that I'm only mentioning your "product" in the idea-phase. If you already have a product or service to sell, that's perfectly fine. THIS STILL APPLIES TO YOU. However, if you don't yet have a product -- this is for you as well!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:georgia;"&gt;I can almost hear you thinking "But Jason, what if I DON'T have an idea or concept for a product -- what then!?" Have no fear -- I once was faced with the EXACT same situation. I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to sell, or who I wanted to sell it to. That's when I started asking myself one *very* important question..."Well, what are people actually looking for?" Well, here's a news-flash...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Rule #1: People are NOT motivated to buy based on their needs --They BUY based on what they WANT! For a very clear example, look no further than your local McDonalds... How many people would you guess buy the BIG Macs, vs. people buying the salads? Of course we know that salads are better for us, but most likely when we feel the "need" to run over to McDonalds, we buy what we WANT, *not* what we think will be best for us!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Needs are logical, and mainly based upon survival. (i.e. food, water, shelter, etc.) WANTS however, are purely based upon EMOTION. We don't"need" the latest and greatest invention that claims to make our lives easier -- but we sure want it! So your first fundamental rule is to NOT think of what people need, but instead research what people WANT andthen GIVE IT TO THEM.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know I stepped a little ahead on that one, so let me back up and explain it further... First of all, you NEVER want to spend your valuable time trying to create a product that you "think" the market needs OR wants. Instead -- if you truly want to be successful, you want to approach this from an entirely scientific perspective...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Your FIRST STEP is to do some serious market research to find out EXACTLY what the market WANTS, AND what they're willing to PAY FOR!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let me ask you a quick question...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;How would you like to know if your concept or idea would be successful on the net, before you even started?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With true, *scientific* marketing, you'll be able to do just that, and then some. In fact, you may even be able to get a good idea of how much money you'll make from a campaign, before you spend a single dime in advertsing! Therefore your worries (remember this) can negate your desires if they are more plentiful. So to you a positive and creative imagination is the most powerful weapon you have in fighting these negative situations you find yourself caught in sometimes. For this I would recommend taking 5 minutes for yourself everyday to do something constructive towards acheiving your life goals and desires.
